সতর্কতা ও যেসব ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার করা যাবে না : অতি সংবেদনশীলদের, পোরফাইরিয়া অথবা পারিবারিক পোরফাইরিয়ার ইতিহাস থাকলে ব্যবহার অনুচিত।
পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া : খুব কম এবং মৃদু। সাধারণত ঘুম ঘুম ভাব, মাথা হালকা বোধ হওয়া, অ্যাটাক্সিয়া, মাথা ঘোরা, মুখে শুষ্কতা, অমনোযোগিতা, রক্তচাপ কমে যাওয়া, চোখ এবং পরিপাকতন্ত্রের অসুবিধা দেখা দিতে পারে। দীর্ঘদিন চিকিৎসায় যৌন ক্ষমতা কমে যেতে পারে।
অন্য ওষুধের সাথে প্রতিক্রিয়া : যদি কেন্দ্রীয় ভাবে কার্যকরী অন্যান্য ওষুধ যেমন- নিউরোলেপটিকস্, ট্রাঙ্কুলাইজার, বিষন্নতা রোধকারী, সম্মোহক, ব্যথা নিবারণকারী, অবশকারী ইত্যাদির সাথে দেয়া হয় তবে এর (কার্যকারিতা) পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া তীব্র হতে পারে।
গর্ভাবস্থা ও স্তন্যদানকালে ব্যবহার : গর্ভধারণের প্রথম তিন মাস এবং স্তন্যদানকারী মায়েদের ডায়াজিপাম এড়িয়ে চলা উচিত।
