This disorder causes excessive or abnormal libido. In women it is called nymphomania and in men it is called satyriasis.

  • Regular frequent masturbation.
  • Having multiple sexual relationships, multiple sexual partners, or casually engaging in a relationship for the sole purpose of sexual desire.

  • Abnormal attraction to unprotected and promiscuous sex life.
  • Engaging in cybersex, phone sex, or video conference sex.
  • Desire to expose various parts of the body obscenely .
  • Wanting to see others naked or having sex etc.

Guilt often works with this. Moreover, the affected person is often anxious, moody or depressed.

This disease is treated through meditation or yoga and various medicines. However, apart from medication, nymphomania or satyriasis is also treated using 'Residential Treatment Programme', 'Cognitive Behavioral Therapy'.
